17. Calculator Results, Estimates, and User Decisions
CalcFFMI calculators use general mathematical formulas and user-supplied inputs to generate estimates. Results may include body-composition estimates, FFMI values, calorie targets, protein targets, training volume suggestions, estimated one-repetition maximums, strength benchmarks, or similar fitness information. These outputs are educational tools and should not be interpreted as guaranteed outcomes, medical measurements, professional diagnoses, or individualized treatment recommendations.
You are responsible for checking the accuracy of the information you enter and for deciding whether a result is appropriate to use. Small changes in input data—especially body-fat percentage, activity level, bodyweight, or exercise performance—can materially change an estimate. If a calculator result conflicts with advice from a qualified medical, nutrition, or fitness professional who knows your circumstances, professional individualized guidance should take priority.
18. Local Storage, Saved Results, and Device Access
Certain CalcFFMI features may allow you to save results in your browser or device using local storage or similar client-side technology. Where a feature is described as local-only, the information remains associated with that browser profile unless you export it, clear browser data, use private browsing, change devices, or otherwise remove or transfer it yourself. We do not guarantee that locally stored results will remain available indefinitely.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of information that matters to you. Clearing cookies, site data, browser storage, reinstalling a browser, resetting a device, or using storage-cleaning software can permanently remove locally saved information. CalcFFMI is not responsible for loss of locally stored data caused by browser settings, device failure, user action, software updates, or third-party tools.
19. Accounts and Future Account Features
Some features may be available without an account, while other features may in the future require registration. If account functionality is offered, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain the confidentiality of login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We may suspend or restrict access to an account or feature when reasonably necessary to protect security, investigate misuse, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these Terms. If a separate account policy, subscription term, or feature-specific agreement is presented when you use a future service, that additional policy may also apply.
20. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CalcFFMI in a way that interferes with the Website, harms other users, violates applicable law, or attempts to obtain access to systems or information you are not authorized to access. Prohibited activity includes attempting to bypass security controls, introducing malicious code, intentionally overloading the Website, impersonating another person, using the Website for fraud, or using automated methods in a manner that materially disrupts normal operation.
Reasonable sharing of public links is encouraged. Automated scraping, bulk extraction, systematic copying, mirroring, or republication of substantial portions of the Website may be restricted, especially where it affects performance, infringes intellectual property rights, or substitutes for the original service.
21. Educational Content and Professional Advice
Training, nutrition, body-composition, supplement, and lifestyle articles on CalcFFMI are intended for general education. They are not a replacement for a physician, registered dietitian, physical therapist, qualified coach, mental-health professional, or other licensed professional where such professional services are appropriate. Fitness information can be unsuitable for people with injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, medication use, eating disorders, or other individual circumstances.
Before making material changes to exercise, diet, supplementation, or weight-management practices, you should consider whether professional guidance is appropriate for your situation. Stop an activity and seek appropriate assistance if you experience concerning symptoms. No statement on the Website should be interpreted as creating a clinician-patient, dietitian-client, coach-client, attorney-client, or other professional relationship.
22. Supplements and Third-Party Products
References to supplements, foods, equipment, training programs, apps, or other products are informational unless expressly stated otherwise. A mention does not guarantee that a product is safe, effective, legal in your jurisdiction, suitable for competition, or appropriate for your health. Ingredient formulas and product availability can change without notice.
If third-party links, affiliate links, advertising, or sponsorships are used, we may disclose them as required. You are responsible for reviewing third-party terms, labels, warranties, return policies, privacy practices, and safety information before purchasing or using an external product or service.
23. Third-Party Websites and External Resources
The Website may link to research databases, government resources, educational websites, training resources, social platforms, retailers, or other third-party services. External links are provided for convenience or additional context. We do not control third-party content, uptime, security, pricing, policies, or accuracy, and a link does not automatically mean that CalcFFMI endorses every statement, product, or practice found on that site.
Third-party sites may collect data under their own privacy policies. You should review the policies and terms of any external service you choose to use. Once you leave CalcFFMI, your interaction is governed by the third party's rules rather than these Terms.
24. Intellectual Property, Fair Use, and Linking
Subject to applicable law, CalcFFMI retains rights in original website text, design elements, branding, calculator interfaces, graphics, and code created for the service. You may link to public pages, quote limited portions where legally permitted, and use calculators for ordinary personal purposes. Any permitted use must not falsely imply partnership, endorsement, authorship, or sponsorship by CalcFFMI.
Requests to reproduce substantial content, republish calculators, license materials, or use branded assets commercially should be submitted through the Contact page. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law grants independently, including lawful fair use or similar exceptions where recognized.
25. Feedback and Suggestions
If you voluntarily send feedback, feature ideas, error reports, or suggestions, you grant CalcFFMI permission to use that feedback to improve the Website without an obligation to compensate you, unless we separately agree otherwise in writing. Do not send confidential business information, proprietary code, or material you do not have the right to share.
26. Availability, Maintenance, and Changes to Features
We may update formulas, page layouts, links, features, content, or calculator interfaces to improve accuracy, usability, security, or maintainability. We may also remove or discontinue features. While we aim to provide a reliable service, availability can be affected by hosting providers, internet outages, browser compatibility, security events, maintenance, or other factors outside our control.
We do not promise that every feature will work on every device, browser, operating system, assistive technology configuration, or network environment. Users should keep browsers reasonably current and avoid relying on the Website as the sole repository for important personal records.
27. No Warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, except where a warranty cannot legally be excluded. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, secure from every possible threat, or suitable for every user's circumstances.
28. Limitation of Liability and Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or to remove mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those limitations, CalcFFMI is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from reliance on estimates, interruption of service, loss of locally stored data, third-party services, or use of educational content.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations. If those rules apply to you, parts of these Terms may not apply to the extent prohibited by law.
29. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the Website, infringement of another person's rights, or material violation of these Terms. This provision is not intended to impose obligations that cannot legally be imposed in your jurisdiction.
30. Suspension and Termination of Access
We may restrict or terminate access to all or part of the Website when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security threats, legal requirements, repeated violations of these Terms, or conduct that materially disrupts the service. Where appropriate and feasible, we may attempt to provide notice, but urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.
You may stop using CalcFFMI at any time. If you have locally saved browser data, you are responsible for exporting or deleting it before clearing site storage or discontinuing use.
31. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the Website, legal requirements, business practices, security needs, or available features. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
If a change materially affects how a specific account, paid feature, or personal data is handled, additional notice may be provided where required.
32. Privacy Policy and Related Pages
The Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, or processed. The Contact page provides a route for questions, and the Sitemap can help you locate calculators and educational resources. These pages should be read together where relevant to your use of the Website.
33. Age, Minors, and Parental Supervision
CalcFFMI is intended as general fitness education. Minors should use exercise, nutrition, body-composition, and supplement information with appropriate parental or guardian supervision and, where relevant, guidance from qualified professionals. Growth, development, energy needs, and health considerations differ from those of adults, so adult-oriented calculator outputs may not be appropriate for children or adolescents.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided personal information through a feature that should not have collected it, please contact us through the Contact page so the issue can be reviewed.
34. Security and Responsible Disclosure
We take reasonable steps to maintain the Website, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You agree not to probe, scan, test, bypass, or exploit Website security except where you have explicit authorization. If you believe you have found a genuine security vulnerability, please report it responsibly through our contact channel and provide enough information for us to investigate without publicly disclosing exploit details that could put users or the service at risk.
35. Accessibility and Browser Compatibility
We aim to make CalcFFMI usable across modern devices and browsers, but display and interaction can vary with browser versions, extensions, accessibility settings, screen size, and operating systems. If a calculator or page is not usable in your environment, you may contact us with details about the device, browser, and problem so we can consider improvements.
Accessibility improvements may be introduced over time and can change page structure or interaction patterns. Such changes do not create a guarantee that every third-party browser, extension, assistive technology, or legacy device will be supported indefinitely.
36. Copyright or Rights Concerns
If you believe material on CalcFFMI infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, contact us with enough information to identify the material, explain the basis of your claim, and provide a reliable way to reach you. We may request additional information before acting on a notice. Submitting a knowingly false rights claim may have legal consequences, so notices should be made in good faith.
37. Communications and Electronic Notices
Where you voluntarily provide an email address for support, account features, or other communications, you consent to receive service-related electronic messages associated with that interaction. Marketing messages, if offered, should include an appropriate method to unsubscribe where required. You are responsible for keeping contact information current if a service depends on it.
Notices posted on the Website, including updates to these Terms, may serve as electronic notice where permitted by law. Important account-specific notices may also be delivered through the contact method associated with that account or service.
38. Assignment and Transfer
You may not transfer rights or obligations under these Terms in a way that would create unauthorized access to the Website or another user's account. CalcFFMI may transfer or assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar business change, subject to applicable law and privacy obligations.
39. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside reasonable control, such as widespread internet outages, hosting failures, natural disasters, governmental actions, labor disruptions, cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, or other events that materially prevent normal operation. We may take reasonable steps to restore service but do not guarantee a specific recovery time.
40. Interpretation, Headings, and Survival
Section headings are provided for convenience and do not limit the meaning of the underlying provisions. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Provisions that by their nature should continue after you stop using the Website—including intellectual-property protections, disclaimers, limitations, and certain dispute-related terms—may survive termination to the extent legally permitted.
41. Questions About These Terms
If any part of these Terms is unclear, you may contact CalcFFMI before continuing to use a feature that concerns you. For privacy-related information, review the Privacy Policy. For general navigation, the Sitemap lists major calculator, training, nutrition, and educational pages.
General legal-information notice
These Terms are website terms intended to describe the rules for using CalcFFMI. They are not legal advice to users. Laws differ by country, state, province, and other jurisdiction, and mandatory legal rights may apply regardless of wording in these Terms.
